Vicki is a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience spanning primary and secondary education. Her journey in education has been diverse, encompassing roles such as Inclusion Manager and Advisory Teacher, where she has passionately supported students' needs in a holistic way, including all areas of cognition and learning as well as emotional well-being. With a background in primary school teaching and a wealth of expertise in managing diverse learning needs, Vicki has become a trusted figure in her field. She holds qualifications as a dyslexia and dyscalculia assessor, currently holding an Assessor Practising Certificate with the British Dyslexia Association, equipping her with the skills to assess and support individuals across all levels of education, including university.

Professional Highlights​

Vicki excels in training and advising school and college staff on a range of special educational needs, showcasing her strong facilitation, communication, and training skills. She is able to train staff in identification and the implementation of personalised strategies to support the individual, including the use of Assistive technology. When working as an advisor for a large local authority, she developed and led staff training in a variety of settings, covering all aspects of neurodiversity. She was additionally the lead for dyslexia across the county and implemented a programme where schools achieved a ‘dyslexia aware’ whole school award. She has coached senior leaders and special educational co-ordinators to develop inclusive practice across an educational setting and used research and best practice to underpin advice on the best use of support staff including both cost-effective practice and maximising outcomes for children’s learning and progression.
